Meet Bob Haas, AEDC Controller

Bob has been AEDC’s Controller now for almost 4 years. A native of Kutztown, he is a graduate of Moravian University and Wilkes College. When he’s not working Bob enjoys golfing, DIY projects and spending time with friends and family.

How long have you been at AEDC? Almost 4 years (Sept 2020)

 

What is your role at AEDC and what does the job entail? Controller, process and maintain accounting functions including the production of financial statements, bank reconciliation, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and preparation for audits, tax filings, and other informational requests when requested. 

 

What is your favorite part about your job? Providing information to people to assist them in accomplishing their tasks.

 

What made you want to work for AEDC? Partner at CRY made me aware of opening, and he thought AEDC would be a fit for my experience and work preferences.

 

Is there anything people don’t understand about your job that you wish they did? A large part of my job is that of a financial historian.  Accountants don’t make the bottom line, they report it.

 

What do you like to do when you are not at work? DIY projects, lawn and landscape maintenance, golf, follow local sports, and time with family and friends.

 

What is the best piece of advice someone has given you? You need to maintain a balance of quality of life and career to be happy.
