Member of White House Administration to Meet Manufacturers Inside Allentown Incubator

 Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff, husband to Vice President Kamala Harris, scheduled to meet with local manufacturers and business owners at AEDC’s Bridgeworks Enterprise Center

 

ALLENTOWN, Pa. —May 5, 2021 — Allentown Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce it will host Second Gentleman, Douglas Emhoff at the Bridgeworks Enterprise Center on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Mr. Emhoff’s visit will be his first appearance as part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s “Getting America Back on Track Tour.”

The Second Gentleman will be joined by Congresswoman Susan Wild and Natalie Cofield, Assistant Administrator of the Small Business Administration. The group will visit LightLab International and The Colony Meadery, two manufacturers inside the Bridgeworks Enterprise Center.  The event will conclude with a listening session. The roundtable discussion will include several local small business owners to discuss the impact that the American Rescue Plan’s relief efforts have had on their businesses.

The event is restricted access and has been limited to pre-screened guests cleared through negative COVID-19 test results and advance security checks.

According to the White House, Emhoff will travel to Tennessee after leaving Allentown.
