A few of Bridgeworks Enterprise Center’s beverage manufacturers have some updates to share:

Binah Winery

Three cheers for Binah Winery which brought home four awards from the 2020 Finger Lakes International Wine and Spirits Competition! Silver medal winners included Chardonnay, Stella, and Celeste. Muscat took home a bronze medal. And just recently, Danna debuted his first red wine, a 2019 Chambourcin which is a dry, medium-bodied red varietal wine made from grapes grown in the Lehigh Valley region.

Owner Kevin Danna is presently awaiting veraison to start in the vineyard. This is when the red wine grapes turn their dark hue as they ripen. Soon after that happens harvest season will begin, followed by the pressing of the grapes, and the fermenting of the 2020 vintage. His current vintages are available for online ordering and shipping to homes.

Colony Meadery

In addition to its Temporary Outdoor Seating Area, the Lehigh Valley’s only meadery is offering mead slushies at its Bridgeworks location as well as its Southside Bethlehem tasting room. To comply with the mandatory meal requirement in order to enjoy their beverages onsite, the Allentown location is offering breakfast fare, while the Bethlehem location is serving up grilled cheese. On special occasions, the Bridgeworks location features a food truck or caterer for something a little different.

Mead is available for curbside pickup at both locations, and it can also be purchased at the Emmaus, Saucon Valley, and Doylestown Farmers’ Markets on weekends.

Hijinx Brewing

Owner Curt Keck is brewing up a new release created by one of his staff members, a peach kettle sour called High Four, which is debuting at the end of August. He’s also finishing up a final batch for his friends at McCall Collective Brewing Company nearby in South Allentown.

The taproom is open Friday – Sunday with outdoor seating available thanks to the City of Allentown’s Temporary Outdoor Seating Areas program and live music. When a food truck or caterer is not at the brewery, it has food for sale as per the mandatory meal requirement.

Curbside pickup is available every day of the week, except for Mondays when the brewery is closed. Advance orders can be placed online or customers can swing by during hours of operation. Check the brewery’s Facebook page for current hours.
